"Self-Taught" is an original mixed-media work on paper by Philip Gladstone
- Made with charcoal, white chalk, India ink, touches of colored pencils and white gouache with sgraffito (scraping), on toned clay-coated paper; finished with a VV-filtering satin clearcoat, for a rich luster and depth of tone
- Image measures 9-3/8 by 16-1/16 inches (as shown, full sheet slightly larger)
- Created in June 2024
- Signed by the artist with his monogram cipher (PG) and dated "2024", lower left; signed again with his full name and inscribed with the title on the reverse
