Loosely based on a work by French painter Paul Delaroche (1797-1856)
- This is an original mixed-media work on paper by Philip Gladstone
- Made with watercolor, pen-and-ink and graphite with watercolor pencils, charcoal and some acrylic on 140 lb. Arches hot-press watercolor paper, varnished with a simulated craquelure effect
- Image measures 4 by 2-5/8 inches (plus approx. 1/4-inch wide untrimmed margins, as shown)
- Created in December 2020
- Signed by the artist with his monogram (PG), lower left; signed again with his full name, dated and inscribed with the title on the reverse
