"The Dreamer" is an original mixed-media work on paper by Philip Gladstone
- The Dreamer features a faithful rendition of an iconic 1912 poster advertising the Summer Olympics of that year held in Stockholm, Sweden
- Made with watercolor, pen-and-inks, colored pencils, touches of gold metallic Sharpie marker (in the border) and Windsor & Newton pigmented markers, with sgraffito (scraping), on clay-coated paper
- Image measures 17 by 10-1/4 inches (as shown, sheet slightly larger)
- Created in 2019-2023
- Provenance: Sold by the artist to a private California collection, 2019; re-acquired from the late collector's estate by Philip Gladstone Studio and reworked by the artist, 2023
- Signed by the artist with his monogram cipher (PG) and dated "2019" and "2023", right center; signed again with the artist's full name and inscribed with the title on the reverse
