• Artist's note: The original "Comfort" by Gladstone (last image above shows the print before hand-coloring) was inspired by and drawn after a 1950 U.S. Army photograph (public domain) of a grief-stricken American infantryman whose friend has been killed in action, comforted by another soldier
• "Comfort" is a one-of-a-kind hand-colored giclée print on Stonehenge printmaking paper
• Hand-colored with watercolor, watercolor pencils and Windsor & Newton pigmented markers with touches of charcoal, pen-and-ink and Chinese White
• The sheet size (including white margins all around) is 12 by 12-7/8 inches
• The image size (excluding the white margins) is 10-1/8 by 10-7/8 inches
• Signed by the artist, titled and inscribed "Artist's Proof" in ink in lower margin
• This is a unique artist's proof
• A hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity is included with every giclée from Philip Gladstone Studio
• All of our limited edition giclées ship flat in a box, never rolled
